Intro to Retail Sales is for anyone looking to build trust with patients and deliver greater value. Under the guidance of ProVision’s own Jim Colley, participants will practice presenting eyecare solutions with features, advantages and benefits tailored to patient needs. 

This holistic leadership program takes a contemporary view of the role of leadership in small businesses. It began with workshops in 2022 that focused first on developing, and then deploying, effective leadership skills. This workshop will examine ways to manage conflict, inferior performance, and misconduct in the workplace.

Collaborate with industry peers and share insights to help your practice continuously improve. These workshops are a fantastic opportunity to discuss specific issues important to you while being supported by your Business Coach and peers.

Eyecare Essentials is a foundation program focusing on developing the learner’s understanding of the Eye, Lenses and Frames, Prescriptions and Contact Lenses to support knowledge acquisition within the practice setting. It is also a pre-requisite program for participation in the Introduction to Optics program.

For practice staff new to the optical industry, this one-day course provides the core skills and knowledge for a long and successful career in independent eyecare. Focused on developing the skills of inexperienced team members, the course covers basic optical concepts and practical dispensing.

Under the expert guidance of ACOD facilitators, the course will explore the more technical aspects of dispensing and enable participants to confidently recommend the most appropriate products and solutions for high or unusual prescriptions.

This course takes a practical approach to lens selection and ensuring all optical dispensing decisions promote the very best outcomes for patients. ‘Advanced Lenses’ considers every variable – from prescription to frames and unique lens purpose.

The Cert IV in Optical Dispensing will help to ensure that optical appliances are dispensed as prescribed by the optometrists and/or ophthalmologists in accordance with The Australian Standards. It will give participants a thorough understanding of all aspects of the dispensing process.

Develop practical techniques that advance ophthalmic optic skills within your practice through education that reaches beyond the scope of TAFE, other RTOs and undergraduate Optometry and Vision Science programs.
