Elizabeth Vidor, St Kilda Eyecare VIC, talks MyHealth1st Online Booking System

MyHealth1st (formerly 1stAvailable) is an online booking system that integrates in SUNIX and Optomate making it easy for both new and existing patients to book appointments with you – when it suits them.

When did you sign up with MyHealth1st?

We started in the ProVision pilot study in early September 2016, and have been running it for a good two months now. It has been really fantastic.

How many appointments do you get through the MyHealth1st booking system?

On average, at least one appointment a day, sometimes more than that. Probably about 30% have been brand new patients into our practice.

What are your patients saying about it?

The feedback from all my patients has been that it was a very simple process, very easy to use. Nobody has given me any negative feedback about it. We’re delighted.

Do you have a story to share?

A brand new patient to the practice, who had lived in the St Kilda area but had spent the last 2 years in Canada, was coming back home and knew that she needed an update to her contact lenses. In Canada, she did some google searching, found us there and booked an appointment before she’d even boarded her plane to come back to Melbourne. She had recently been at one of our competitors around the corner but I guess maybe they didn’t have an online booking functionality so she came in to see us and was pretty happy. She bought new glasses and new contact lenses and that was a great experience.

How have you found the integration into Sunix?

Integration with Sunix is working really well now, despite a few initial teething problems which were quickly resolved.
